For generations, many of us learned how to manage our hair before we learned how to truly nourish it.
We were taught to smooth it, straighten it, hide it, and “fix” it long before we understood the importance of caring for our scalp, protecting our texture, and embracing the beauty of what naturally grows from us. At Samuel’s Anointed Roots, we believe healthy hair begins with restoration—through patience, nourishment, intentional care, and grace.
This brand was born from faith, love, loss, and purpose.
The name Samuel honors both the Nazarite Samuel in the Bible, a symbol of devotion and consecration to God, and my late brother, Samuel, whose life and memory continue to shape my purpose. I created this brand to build something rooted in meaning rather than trends—something that honors legacy, faith, and intentional care.
As African American women, our hair has always carried deep meaning. It is identity, culture, resilience, and inheritance. Yet many of us inherited beauty practices rooted more in survival than nourishment—harsh chemicals, excessive heat, tension, and routines that disconnected us from understanding our hair and scalp with gentleness and patience.
Samuel’s Anointed Roots exists to shift that narrative without shame or judgment.
Whether your hair is natural, relaxed, braided, protected, or transitioning, you deserve education and products that support healthy growth from the root. Through carefully infused botanicals, scalp-focused care, and faith-centered encouragement, our hope is to help women reconnect with the beauty, peace, and strength already placed within them.
Because healthy hair does not begin with shame.
It begins with nourishment, understanding, and the decision to care for yourself differently.
