Samuel’s Anointed Roots was born from faith, loss, love, and a calling I could not ignore.
The name Samuel holds deep meaning for me. It honors the Nazarite Samuel in the Bible—a symbol of devotion, obedience, and consecration—and it also honors my late brother, Samuel, whose life and memory continue to shape my purpose. In creating this brand, I wanted to build something that carried reverence, intention, and legacy—something rooted in meaning rather than trends.
As African American women, our hair has always been more than hair. It is culture. It is resilience. It is inheritance. Our crowns tell stories—of where we come from, what we’ve endured, and who we are becoming. Yet for so long, we have been taught to rush the process, chase length without care for the roots, and overlook the sacredness of tending to ourselves gently and consistently.
Samuel’s Anointed Roots exists to shift that narrative.
I believe healthy growth begins at the scalp—with patience, nourishment, and intention. That belief guided every decision behind this brand, from our slow-infused botanicals to the creation of multiple textures—oils, serums, and mists—so that each woman can choose what truly serves her hair and lifestyle best. Luxury, to me, means having options. It means being seen. It means not having to force what doesn’t fit.
This brand is also deeply personal. It is my way of honoring my brother’s name, my faith, and the belief that growth—whether hair, healing, or purpose—takes time, care, and trust in the process.
When you use Samuel’s Anointed Roots, I hope it feels like more than a routine. I hope it feels like a ritual. A moment to slow down. To touch your crown with gratitude. To care for yourself with the same intention you give to everything else in your life.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.
With faith and purpose,
The Founder
